Ingredients

  • 5 idlies leftover
  • 1 medium size onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh coconut grated
  • 1 tsp gram dal
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 2 green chilli chopped
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • few curry leaves
  • salt for taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add idlies and crumble all the idlies
  2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard and cumin seeds, gram dal, urad dal, curry leaves fry for a minute on medium flame, allow to splutter
  3. Now add turmeric powder, green chilli, onion, mix well and saute for a minute, soften the onion
  4. Add crumbled idli, salt to taste and mix well, keep on low flame, cover the lid and simmer for 2 minutes
  5. Now add grated coconut, lemon juice, coriander leaves, mix well and serve hot
