Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bombay rava / suji / semolina
  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 2 tbsp Maida / all purpose flour
  • 2 Green chilli chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger chopped
  • 10 Curry leaves chopped
  • few Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp Curd
  • Oil for roasting dosa
  • Water as required
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. into a mixing bowl add rava, rice flour, maida, curd, ginger, cumin, pepper, green chilies ,coriander leaves, curry leaves and salt.

  2. mix well and add water to form a thin batter (we need to add more water for making rava dosa) 

  3. Let it rest for 15 -20 minutes.

  4. Now after 15 minutes add finely chopped onion and mix well,add more water if required.

  5. Heat a tawa, Make sure the tawa is very hot. Pour a ladle of watery rava dosa mix and spread it all around the tawa.

  6. some oil or ghee on the top. Let it cook for 3 

  7. let the base turn crispy golden. keep on medium flame to cook. no need to roast on other side.

  8. finally, rava dosa is ready. serve with vegetable sagu or coconut chutney.

Recipe Notes

  • Rather than water,use buttermilk for more rich taste and flavor. you can also use sour curd.
