Here is How to make the instant Chakli recipe at home, and few tips to make it crisp.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup maida
  • 1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 3/4 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tbsp hing
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup curd
  • oil for deep fry
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup rice flour, 1/2 cup maida, 1/4 tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp red chilly powder, 3/4 tbsp cumin seeds, salt to taste, 1/4 tbsp hing, 1 tbsp butter and combine well. Add 1/4 cup curd and mix well again. Now slowly add water as required and make a soft dough.

  2. Take a star-shaped chakli mold. Grease the mold with 1 tbsp cooking oil. Take some portion of the dough and insert the dough in the mold in a cylindrical shape.

  3. On a butter paper or plastic sheet, slowly put the chakli in the circular shape and press the edges.

  4. Heat the oil in a pan for deep fry. Drop the chakli into the hot oil slowly on the medium flame. Fry till the chakli turns into a crispy golden brown color. Flip on the other side and fry till it turns crispy. Finally, take it out on a kitchen paper.

  5. Enjoy the instant crispy chakli with hot tea.
