Davanagere benne dose | davangere benne dosa recipe
- 1.5 cup dosa rice
- 1/2 cup urad dal
- 1 tsp methi
- 2 tbsp butter
- oil as required
- salt to taste
- water as required
Take dosa rice in a bowl put urad dal methi wash with clean water and soak for 6 hours.
After 6 hours drain the water and put into a jar add 1/2 cup of water grind to smooth batter.
Transfer to a large vessel, mix well with hand.
Cover and ferment in a warm place for 12 hours.
After 12 hours add salt to taste and mix well. You can see the batter has raised well indicating its well fermented.
Heat a dosa tava pour a ladleful of the batter.
Once the top of the dosa has cooked apply 1 tsp of oil and butter on dosa, keep on medium flame.
Once the one side of dosa has cooked flip it apply some butter if you want.
Put a spoon of potato curry inside serve hot.
