  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion medium size chopped
  • 1/4 cup tamerind
  • 1 cup fresh coconut chopped
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 small pieces cinnamon
  • 12 garlic
  • 1 Tomato medium size chopped
  • curry leaves few
  • coriander leaves few
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 inch ginger
  • 700 grams fish
  • salt to taste
  • water as required


  1. In a jar add fresh coconut coriander leaves, ginger garlic, cinnamon, cloves and soaked tamarind.
  2. Finally add required water and grind it.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add onion and curry leaves saute for a minute.
  4. Then add grinded paste, red chilli, coriander, , turmeric powders and add salt to taste mix well.
  5. Now add tomato, 2 1/2 glass of water or as you required mix well and cover the lid cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Now put fish.

  7.  Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

  8. Finally garnish with coriader leaves

Recipe Notes

  • Serve after 4 hours for better taste
  • You can heat it again
