Ingredients

  • ½ cup peanuts
  • 8 red chillies
  • 8 garlic
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp oil
  • few tamarind
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan dry roast peanuts on medium flame till the skin peel off or brown spots appears on them. It may take 4-5 minutes, take out and keep aside
  2. In the same pan heat oil and roast tamarind. Roast for a minute on medium flame. You can also dry it in sunlight for 10 minutes

  3. Roast red chillies for a minute, also add coriander seeds and roast till its colour changes. Turn off the flame once they have turned crisp let them cool
  4. Transfer all the fried ingredients into a jar and add garlic and salt, grind it
  5. Now add roasted peanuts into the same jar grind to medium coarse powder
  6. Serve with idli, dosa and daily meals

Recipe Notes

  • You can also use red chilli powder instead of red chillies.
