Kesari Bath or Rava Kesari is one of the most famous sweets in all over India. Ingredients

  • ½ cup Bombay rava
  • ½ cup sugar/as per choice
  • 1 cup water
  • 10 cashews
  • 1 tsp raisins (dry grapes)
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • ½ tsp food colour (red)
  • ¼ cup ghee

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tsp of ghee in a pan add cashews and raisins and roast on low flame. Once the cashews turn golden brown take out in a plate
  2. In the same pan add rava and roast on low flame till it turns aromatic about 5 minutes then take out and keep aside
  3. Boil water in a pan and add roasted rava, stir continuously till the rava absorbs water. Stir well, make sure no lumps are formed
  4. Now add sugar and stir well till the sugar dissolves
  5. Add food colour and remaining ghee, keep on low flame make sure the mixture is combined well, and make sure no lumps are present
  6. Add roasted dry fruits and cardamom powder mix well and off the stove
  7. Serve hot for better taste
