Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp milk optional
  • 1 tbsp Bombay rava
  • salt to taste
  • water as required
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl add wheat flour, Bombay rava, salt, cooking oil and mix well
  2. Now add milk, water as required and mix well make dough then apply a tsp of oil and cover it and rest for 15 minutes
  3. Knead the dough and make small balls of it
  4. Lightly dust your rolling surface with flour, roll out the ball on your powdered surface, by rolling pin constantly, make circular shape puri
  5. Heat oil in a kadai and fry puris, press puri slightly into the oil with saute as shown, fry the puri one at a time

  6. fry both sides, and take out from the oil, Serve hot with saagu

Recipe Notes

  • To gives a crispy texture to poori add semolina.
  • Poori will puff up if oil is very hot so maintain the temperature .
