Ingredients

  • ¼ cup fresh peas
  • ¼ cup potato chopped
  • ¼ cup green beans chopped
  • ¼ cup carrot chopped
  • ¼ cup mint leaves chopped
  • ¼ cup coriander leaves chopped
  • 3 tomatoes medium size chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 star anise
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 1.5 cup sona masuri rice soak 30 minutes
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 green chilli slitted
  • 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste
  • 1 onion medium size chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 3 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a cooker, add bay leaves, star anise, cinnamon, cloves roast for 10 seconds
  2. Now add onion, green chilli fry for a minute, then add ginger garlic paste and mix well, until its raw smell disappears, now add tomato and fry till it become soft
  3. Now add all vegetables and fry for 2 minutes, keep on medium flame, stir in between. Then add red chilli powder, turmeric and salt, mint leaves, coriander leaves and mix well
  4. Now add soaked rice and 3 cups of water mix well and cover the lid, cook for 1 whistle
  5. Once the pressure released itself open the lid and mix well, serve hot with raita
