Ingredients

  • 2 cup wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp besan optinal
  • 1 cup methi leaves chopped
  • oil as required
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp carom seeds / ajwain
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add wheat flour, besan, ajwain, cumin powder, chopped green chilli, ginger garlic paste, salt to taste, chopped methi leaves, 1 tbsp oil and combine well
  2. Add required water and knead well and make soft and smooth dough, cover and rest for 30 minutes
  3. Grease hand with oil knead the dough and make small ball sized dough
  4. Dust or dip the dough ball in wheat flour and roll it puri size about 5 inches, Spread 1 tsp of oil on the parotta

  5. Fold roundly, form a bundle and flatten it

  6. Now dip the dough in wheat flour then roll all around and give round shape. Roll slightly thick
  7. Heat a tawa, spread 1 tsp of oil on tawa, keep on medium flame and put parotta on tawa cook for 10 seconds
  8. Now flip over the parotta spread ½ tsp of oil on parotta if you want else no need of oil. Again, flip and apply ½ tsp of oil if you want and cook all sides well. Serve hot with curry or raita

Recipe Notes

  • You can also use maida flour instead of wheat flour
