Ingredients

  • 1 cup curd
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 small tomato chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • few coriander leaves
  • few curry leaves
  • ¼ tsp mustard seeds
  • ¼ tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 dry red chilli
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 tsp rice soaked 10 minutes
  • ¼ tsp cumin seeds
  • 8 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp fresh coconut chopped
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1.5 cup water
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a jar add coconut, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, soaked rice, green chilli, coriander leaves, ¼ cup of water and blend to smooth paste
  2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard and cumin seeds, dry red chilli, curry leaves and allow to splutter, keep on medium flame
  3. Add onion fry and soften it
  4. Now add tomato, turmeric powder, salt to taste and saute and soften the tomato
  5. Now add blended masala and saute it, then add ¼ cup of water mix well, and simmer for 2 minutes, then turn off the flame and allow it to cool
  6. In a jar add curd, ½ cup of water and blend it
  7. Now add butte milk to the pan and add ½ cup of water if you want, mix well
  8. Serve with rice

Recipe Notes

  • We add rice while blending masala to make it taste delicious. 
  • You can also use butter milk.
