Ingredients

  • ½ cup gram dal
  • ¼ cup sago
  • 1/4 cup split green gram
  • ¼ cup vermicelli
  • ¼ cup rice
  • 1 cup jaggary/gud
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp cashews
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • ½ cup fresh coconut grated

Make powder:

  • 2 cardamom
  • ½ inch dry ginger
  • ½ tsp fennel seeds

Instructions

  1. Take gram dal, sago, green gram, rice and rinse in water, soak for 15 minutes separately
  2. In a pan add soaked sago along with water and add 1.5 cup of water and boil. cook up to 75%, then keep aside
  3. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan, add cashews and roast, now add raisins roast and keep aside
  4. Add gram dal along with water in a pan and add 2 cups of water, mix and cover the lid allow to boil, cook up to 50%
  5. Now add moong dal, mix and cover the lid allow to boil
  6. In a jar add soaked rice and grind into coarse paste
  7. Dal should be cooked up to 75%, now add vermicelli, blended rice, cooked sago and add water to adjust the consistency. Mix well and cook completely
  8. Now add grated coconut, jaggary, powdered spices and mix well, cook until the jaggary will melt completely
  9. Add 1 cup of milk or more if you want, then add dry fruits, mix well and turn off the flame serve hot or chilled

Recipe Notes

  •  You can use rava instead of rice coarse paste, but rice paste gives good taste
