Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • ½ cup onions chopped
  • ½ cup dill leaves chopped
  • 1 tbsp gram dal soaked 2 hours
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • coriander leaves few chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger chopped
  • curry leaves few chopped
  • oil as required
  • water as required
  • 2 green chilly chopped
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine rice flour, onion, dill leaves, soaked gram dal, curry leaves, ginger, chilli, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, salt and mix well
  2. Add required water to make a soft dough
  3. Apply some oil on butter paper or banana leaf
  4. Now take a small ball of dough and start patting over. Pat as thin as possible, apply some oil or water on your hand while patting, you can spread easily and avoid from having cracks
  5. Make hole between so that your roti can absorb oil and cook fast
  6. Heat a tava, grease with oil and gently drop the sheet upside down. After few seconds, peal off the paper slowly, carefully, without breaking your akki roti

  7. Smear some oil over the roti and cook on medium flame
  8. After 30 seconds flip over and cook both sides keep on medium flame
  9. Serve hot with coconut chutney

Recipe Notes

  •  Make holes at the centre of rotti. this is to move oil on both side of rotti.
  • Serve immediately and do not keep it to cool.
