Ingredients

  • 1 cup sabudana / sago
  • 9 cups water
  • 1 tsp ajwain
  • 1/3 tsp salt for to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 cup of sabudana / sago and soak in 3 cups of water for 2 hours
  2. Boil 6 cups of water in a vessel, add salt, ajwain, soaked sago along with water, mix well keep on high flame, boil until the sago will be transparent, stir in between, cook up to 75%
  3. Now keep on medium flame and keep stirring for few minutes, then turn off the flame
  4. Now spread a thick plastic sheet in hot sunlight, pour ½ tsp of boiled sago on the sheet one by one, keep distance
  5. Dry for 2 days in hot sunlight
  6. After 2 days the papads are fully dried
  7. Heat enough oil in a pan for frying, put dried sago papad in hot oil, press gently and fry. Take out from the oil and enjoy

Recipe Notes

  •  Store it in a container and use for year-long.
  • If you don’t have thick plastic sheet, take steel plate, apply some oil, pour boiled sago and dry it in sunlight.
