Ingredients

  • 500 grms chicken legs
  • 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1.5 red chilli powder
  • ¼ cup curd
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • some charcoal
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash chicken leg piece and cut into deep slashes about 1 inch both sides
  2. Take a mixing bowl add chicken pieces, curd, turmeric and red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, salt mix all and apply to chicken pieces, cover the lid and marinate for 30 minutes
  3. Heat 2 tsp of oil into a pan and spread the oil in the pan, now put marinated chicken piece into the pan and keep on medium flame
  4. Flip and cook both sides till they turn golden brown, fry all the sides, pour oil if required, it will take 10 to 12 minutes
  5. Tandoori chicken is especially made on the wood or charcoal heat, if you want that type of taste do like this, keep some charcoal pieces on the gas stove and burn it, take out in a small bowl

  6. Take cooked chicken in a bowl and put burned charcoal bowl into the chicken bowl, pour half tsp of oil in the charcoal bowl, and cover the lid immediately for 1 minute
  7. Open the lid and serve with roti, chapati or eat directly

Recipe Notes

  • You can make small pieces of chicken if you don’t like large chicken pieces
