Ingredients

  • ½ cup knol khol chopped
  • ½ cup green beans chopped
  • ½ cup potato chopped
  • ½ cup carrot chopped
  • ½ cup peas fresh/frozen
  • 2 cup rice soak 30 minutes
  • 5 green chillies
  • 1 onion medium size chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • few coriander
  • ¼ cup mint leaves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 10 garlic cloves
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 1 cardamom
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp biryani masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • salt to taste
  • water as required

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add cardamom, bay leaves, onion fry for 1 minute, keep on medium flame
  2. Now add all chopped vegetables, mint leaves mix well and fry for 3 minutes
  3. In a jar add green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, coriander powder, cinnamon, cloves, turmeric powder, ¼ cup of water and grind into smooth paste
  4. Now add blended masala, salt to taste and fry well till the raw smell will be disappears
  5. Add 4 cups of water, biryani masala mix well, and let it to boil. Now add 2 cups of soaked rice and mix well
  6. Keep on high flame, cover the lid and cook for 1 whistle, then turn off the flame
  7. Once the pressure released itself, open the lid and mix carefully, serve hot with raita

Recipe Notes

  • You can add vegetables of your choice like cauliflower, carrot, potato .
