Here we using soaked whole gram and peas, vegetables it is very tasty, you can use it for breakfast and for lunch also. Can be served with set dosa, Rice, chapthi.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup whole gram soak over night
  • ¼ cup peas soak over night
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • few curry leaves
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 1.5 inch ginger
  • 8 garlic
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ onion chopped
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup fresh coconut chopped
  • 2 tomatoes medium size chopped
  • 1 onion medium size chopped
  • 1 large potato chopped
  • 1 large brinjal chopped
  • salt to taste
  • Water as required

Instructions

  1. In a jar add fresh coconut, ginger, garlic, ½ onion chopped, coriander leaves, cloves and cinnamon, ½ cup of water and blend to smooth paste
  2. Heat oil in a cooker add onion, curry leaves and fry for a minute
  3. Drain water from whole gram and peas add to cooker and fry for 2 minutes on medium flame, stir in between
  4. Now add potato and fry for a minute on medium flame, then add brijal, turmeric powder, salt and mix well
  5. Add blended masala, red chilli powder, tomato, coriander powder and mix well
  6. Now add 3 cups of water, and mix well, allow to boil
  7. Cover the lid and cook for 2 whistles
  8. Once the pressure released itself open the lid and enjoy with dosa, chapati, rice
